BJAF is partnering with the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) to welcome illustrator Yusuke Nakamura (Osaka, Japan) as the featured guest. His centerpiece lecture and Q&A will coincide with the opening of an exhibition of his work (MICA Rosenberg Gallery), celebrating the 15th anniversary of his career.
The Baltimore Kawasaki Sister City Committee will host the "Aki Matsuri", an all-ages outdoor event featuring an onigiri workshop from Table For Two, traditional Japanese festival games/activities, music, local food vendors, and more.
From the visionary mind of director Masaaki Yuasa (Mind Game, Devilman Crybaby) comes The Night is Short, Walk on Girl, a comedy about one epic night in Kyoto.
