Baltimore Japan Art Festival (BJAF) is an annual festival showcasing Japanese Culture through art, film, music and food. The venues are located around the Station North Arts District of Baltimore, MD.
After graduating from Osaka University of Arts, Nakamura started his career as a freelance illustrator. He is known for designing the CD jackets for ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION and Sada Masashi, book covers for best-selling novels including Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de (The After-Dinner Mysteries) and Yoru ha Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome (The Night is Short, Walk on Girl), and the character design for Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei (Tatami Galaxy).
Released in 2009, Nakamura's first illustration book Blue has sold 95,000 copies, and 2014 saw the releases of Kirara-chan and NOW. In 2017 he has released his first instructional book Everyone's Illustration Classroom, Nakamura Yusuke BEST (15th anniversary illustration book), and COLOR ME.
